The employees of the FM Logistic group responded to the request from FM Foundation and its partner Emmaus Défi, by participating in its large collection of objects in the company.
21 pallets of small objects in good condition (textiles, books, toys, tableware, decorative objects, etc.) were collected to give them a second life.
The action, which took place from 3 to 28 May, focused on sites near Paris to simplify the return of donations to Emmaus Défi located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Collection stations have been installed at the sites of Fontenay-Trésigny (77), Longueil-Sainte-Marie (60), Epaux-Bezu (02), Mormant (77), Ressons sur Matz (60), Château-Thierry (02), as well as FM Logistic France (60) and FM Logistic Corporate de Roissy (95) and Phalsburg (57).
The donation took place on 29 June at Emmaus Défi, and was orchestrated by the transport teams at FM Logistic, who collected the pallets at the various sites and repatriated them to Paris.
They will be sorted and sold by the Emmaus Défi integration site*, which fights against exclusion. The association employs 150 workers in integration who are mainly former homeless.
A fine example combining solidarity and skills sponsorship for this partnership!
*The objects collected on Phalsbourg (57) were not repatriated to Emmaus Défi in Paris but donated locally to the Assajuco Emmaus Sarrebourg integration site to participate in the activities of their 80 employees in integration.
